How do I manually configure VoIP on the Nokia E Series?
You must configure your phone exactly as shown below:
Configure Wireless LAN:
Menu -> Tools -> Settings -> Connection -> Access Points
Options button -> New Access Point -> Use Default Settings

| Data bearer: | Wireless LAN |
| WLAN netw. name: | Search for New -> Select your ESSID |
| Network status: | Public |
| WLAN netw. mode: | Infrastructure |
| WLAN security mode: | (Open network/WEP/802.1x/WPA/WPA2) |
| WLAN security settings: | (As appropriate for the security mode) |
| Homepage: | None |
If static IP needed:
Options button -> Advanced settings -> IPv4 settings
| Phone IP address: | x.x.x.x |
| Subnet mask: | y.y.y.y |
| Default gateway: | z.z.z.z |
| DNS Address -> Primary DNS address: | d.d.d.d |
Configure Sip profile:
Menu -> Tools -> Settings -> Connection -> SIP Settings
Options button -> Add New -> Use default profile
| Profile name: | Aql |
| Service profile | IETF |
| Default access point | YourAPName |
| Public user name | sip:6xxxxx@sip.aql.com |
| Use compression | No |
| Registration | When needed |
| Use security | No |
| Registrar server: | |
| Registrar serv. addr.: | sip.aql.com |
| Realm: | sip.aql.com (must be in lower case) |
| Username: | 6xxxxx |
| Password: | (VoIP password) |
| Transport type: | UDP |
| Port: | 5060 |
Optional Proxy Setting:
If you phone will not register with the server, you may require the following SIP proxy settings to be entered:

Configure Internet telephone settings:
Menu -> Tools -> Settings -> Connection -> Internet tel. settings
Options button -> New profile
