Can I use BT Openzone, T-Mobile, The Cloud etc. WiFI Hotspots?

Probably, yes. You'd need to use the built-in browser to log into the hotspot by visiting a web page, but unless the hotspot network specifically block VoIP it should work after you have logged in.
