How do I connect with Asterisk Trixbox via SIP?

Log into your account and get your SIP VoIP details which should look like this:

Real number VoIP number VoIP password
44xxxxxxxxxx 6xxxxx ppppp

44xxxxxxxxxx = Your DDI (geo, non-geo number)
6xxxxx = Your VoIP number
ppppp = Your VoIP password or "secret"

Using FreePBX, go to SIP trunk and look for
"Outbound Caller ID:". Set this to: 6xxxxx

Dial Rules: 9|X.
(if you use 9 to get an outside line - you must include the fullstop if you use this example. For other formats, please consult the Trixbox documentation.)

Look for

Outgoing Settings,

PEER Details:
host=sip.aql.com
insecure=invite
secret=ppppp
type=friend
username=6xxxxx
fromuser=6xxxxx


Look for

Incoming Settings

USER Details
context=from-trunk
secret=ppppp
type=user

Register String:
6xxxxx:ppppp@sip.aql.com/6xxxxx
