category: Email to SMS

What is pre-defined sending?

Pre-defined sending allows you to register aliases and associated mobile numbers in your sms2email account for email to sms use.

This allows email2sms to be sent from any address to the registered alias. For example, Joe Bloggs has the mobile number 07123 456 789. If he registers the alias "joebloggs" then anyone can send him an email to sms by sending email to:

joebloggs@sms2email.com

Each email2sms sent uses one message credit. The first 160 characters of the email (from the subject field and then the message field) are included in the text message.

The alias you register must be unique on the sms2email system, so you may find that some generic aliases are already taken.
