How do I send email to sms to a distribution list?

Firstly you need to have a distribution list set up in your aql sms account. Log into your sms and on the green menu click "setup >> manage distribution lists" to view, add and edit your distribution lists.

Once you have a distribution list ready to use with email to sms, and on the green menu click "email2sms >> distribution list". Click on "add" to register the distribution list. You must also register the email address which will be sending to the distribution list.

For each combination of distribution list and email address you register, aql.com will generate a unique key for that combination. To send email to sms to the distribution list from the registered email address, send an email to:

uniquekey@dist.aql.com

The first 160 characters of the email (from the subject field and then the message field) will be sent as a text message to all of the numbers on the associated distribution list.

Each text message sent costs one message credit - so if there are twenty mobile numbers on the distribution list you send to, each email to sms you send to the list will cost twenty message credits.
