Carriers wishing aql® to enable their existing numbering to operate via the aql® SMS relay platforms have just two simple steps to acheiving live service.
Following on-boarding via the simple aql® commercial process, we require a letter of consent from the Ofcom numberblock owner. aql® will then perform a second-level diligence and cross check this with ofcom records. The numbers are then queued for activation on the UK mobile networks (excluding T-Mobile - please see our T-Mobile activation API or service).
Once activated, aql® can deliver Mobile Originated ("MO" or inbound SMS) to the operators numbers via a variety of mechanisms - these include :
Carriers using the aql® SMS Relay product as a value-add across their product range, should integrate their inbound porting-desk with our single number activation API such that as numbers are ported to their network, aql® can ensure that SMS activation is scheduled.
Where a number is being ported from another Carrier utilising the SMS relay service, aql® can act as a clearing house under it's Carrier Code of Conduct to which all SMS Relay Partners adhere. This allows seamless customer experience across carriers as part of the regulated porting process.
