Linux Systems Administrator & 3rd Line Support - £NEG dep on experience



aql are a fast paced, rapidly growing and award winning telecommunications company based in Leeds city centre. We handle communications for many UK ISPs and both product and customer base is widening.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable Linux Systems Administrator to join our Infrastructure & support team in our Leeds city centre offices.

You will be responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing system related issues as well as expanding and where applicable re-building systems based on provided specification as required.

You will need to have a deep understanding and knowledge of the Linux Operating System and be familiar with all the popular services (LAMP, email, DNS, FTP etc) as well as basic networking and scripting knowledge. You will also be expected to have a good grasp on best practice and security. Experience with Redhat and Debian distributions (or derivatives) is highly desirable and experience with MySQL and/or SIP platforms will be considered advantageous.

Experience working in a Carrier or Service Provider environment is desirable but not required.

You'll have a 'can do' attitude and be able to show initiative and the acumen to learn quickly. You'll be working in an energetic, fast paced environment with early responsibility. You will be interacting with our customers, suppliers, contractors, team members, senior management and directors and therefore excellent communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines and flexible hours are essential.

VoIP Support Engineer - 3rd Line (£20k -> £35k commensurate on experience)



aql are a fast paced, rapidly growing and award winning telecommunications company based in Leeds city centre. We handle communications for over 30,000 clients and both product and customer base is widening. We are currently looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable 3rd Line Support Engineer to join our VoIP support team in our Leeds city centre offices. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing voice and network issues on VoIP Media Gateways, SIP Proxy Servers, Session Border Controllers, IVR, Conference bridges. You will also cover administration and maintenance of voice Servers and services, configuration, the testing of new services, documenting systems and working practices, working in line with ISO compliancy standards and will contribute to overall strategy and performance improvements.


You will be an experienced VoIP Support Engineer with many years experience in a Carrier or Service Provider, strong knowledge of TDM, SS7 and VoIP telephony using SIP protocol, experience supporting high availability 24*7 environments and general skills in Cisco networking products, IP Protocols and routing along with structured cabling systems. Proficiency with configuration of asterisk, opensips, freeswitch is necessary. Linux/Unix experience will be a big advantage. You'll have a 'can do' attitude and be able to show initiative and the acumen to learn quickly. You'll be working in an energetic, fast paced environment with early responsibility. Summary: Office Administrator and Credit Controller (IRO £12k-£16k)

aql are a fast paced, rapidly growing and award winning telecommunications company based in Leeds city centre. We handle communications for over 30,000 clients and both product and customer base is widening.
We are an established company with a fun nature, currently looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable Office assistant and junior credit controller to work in our Leeds city centre offices.

Your role will include:

  • Meeting room and conference bookings and management
  • Invoice management
  • Guest meet and greet liaison
  • File management
  • Catering organisation for meetings
  • Arranging travel and accommodation
  • Organising and storing paperwork, documents and computer-based information
  • Answering the phone and providing switchboard cover
  • Postal duties
  • Purchase Order Management
  • Weekly payment run
  • Customer correspondence via email, phone and letter
  • Supplier liaison and management
  • Alerting customers of overdue accounts and collecting payment
  • Securing and processing payments
  • Liaising with our senior management
  • Account management where required

You will need:

  • A good written and verbal communication style
  • Excellent time management and self organisational skills

This is a full time, permanent role and we're looking for someone who take responsibility and use their initiative and would like to make this role their own and grow with our company - The ability to work to deadlines is a must.
Salary IRO £12k-£16k commensurate with experience. References will be taken up.
